I am thrilled to announce that the Encore Strings have been selected to perform at the 2014 Michigan Music Conference! Furthermore, the Symphonic Band has also been selected to perform! Congratulations to Mr. Larzelere and the Symphonic band. To my knowledge, past performances include the Orchestra in 1989 under Dorothy MacDonald, and the Symphonic Band in 1989 and 1993 under Jane Church. This is a big deal! Only six performing ensembles from throughout the state have been selected to perform. A huge congratulations goes to our music faculty, students, parents, and private teachers. I also would like to thank this year's graduating seniors for their wonderful performances. Encore would not have been accepted without these very musical recordings!
I hope that you will join us for these exciting performances, as traditionally there is a contingent of administrators, board members, students, alumni, and parents that attend the performances. Mrs. McDonald will be a guest conductor too! The committee has conveniently scheduled us back-to-back so that you could see both our performances.
