There are many things happening in our 6th-12th grade orchestra program this month. We wanted to provide you with some updated information. As always, thank you for your continued support of the orchestra program!
Collage Weekend - 2017 (Dec 8th/9th)
Friday, December 8th is the Collage Coffeehouse from 7:00-9:00 PM in the ELHS Student Union. This is an optional event but many students from the band, orchestra, and choir programs are performing. All are welcome to enjoy these performances as well as the works of art from more than 200 ELHS visual art students. MS orchestra students can earn a free practice week for attending.
Saturday, December 9th is the Collage Concert Technical Rehearsal from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. This is a required event for all band/orchestra/choir/theater students. Please arrive to ELHS by 9:45 AM so we may begin rehearsal at 10:00 AM sharp. Students may leave when their part in the rehearsal is done. If you are unable to attend, you must fill out a conflict form. They can be found on the website.
Saturday, December 9th is Collage XXXV. The concert begins at 7:30 PM, students should arrive by 7:00 PM and doors to the Auditorium will open shortly thereafter. Please take this opportunity to enjoy the art show in the Student Union. Students will wear their formal concert attire in the first half of the concert and may “dress-up” for the Finale performance which feature music of the Beatles. MS orchestra students can earn a free practice week for attending.
Tuesday, December 19th - 6th grade band and orchestra concert @ ELHS. the concert will begin at 7:00pm. Orchestra students should report to the high school orchestra room (107) by 6:15pm to tune and warm up.
Wednesday, December 20th - 7th-8th grade band and orchestra concert @ ELHS. the concert will begin at 7:00pm. Orchestra students should report to the high school orchestra room (107) by 6:15pm to tune and warm up.
Friday December 22nd Encore Strings will perform in the locker commons at the high school. We will start playing at 7:05am.
